Shelby Whitney graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara with a major in Political Science and minor in English. She attended Suffolk University Law School in Boston. Before law school, she worked for a start-up dental sleep medicine company that developed a medical devise to measure compliance in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea with oral appliance therapy.
Shelby specializes in wildfire litigation and has represented clients from the 2015 Butte Fire, 2017 North Bay Fires, 2017 Thomas Fire, 2018 Camp Fire, and the 2018 Woolsey Fire.
In her spare time, Shelby enjoys spending time with her wife and son while being outside as much as possible. She dreams of someday visiting every National Park.
Shelby is admitted to practice before all California state courts.
