Monica brings a diverse background to the firm. Born and raised in the East Los Angeles area, she received her undergraduate degrees in History and Political Science with a pre-law emphasis from California State University, Los Angeles. After graduation she interned for U.S. Congressman Adam Schiff helping to field constituents concerns and navigate federal issues. It was during this experience that she saw numerous situations where people were being treated unjustly with little to no recourse. This solidified her resolve to help people in need and felt the most effective way to do so was to cross over into the legal field.
Monica put herself through college and law school while working full time as a personal injury paralegal. Once she became a licensed attorney, this made for a seamless transition as she was able to hit the ground running with a wealth of legal experience.
When Monica is not in the office, she can be found donating her time to an arts and education non profit located in South Los Angeles. As well as training Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiujitsu, and spending time with her menagerie of animals.
