Ian is a graduate of the University of Houston Law Center and a founding partner of Robins Cloud LLP. He has been responsible for the asbestos docket since the firm's founding in 1992; including litigation, settlement, and management of the docket. Ian has tried over 100 plaintiffs’ claims to verdict. He also has represented over 20,000 victims of asbestos-related disease since 1992.
Ian is a native Houstonian and graduated from Texas State University (1988) and the University of Houston Law Center (1992) and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1992. He is licensed to practice in front of Texas state courts and the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas. He is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association; Houston Trial Lawyers Association (Board of Directors from 1995 to 2000); American Association for Justice (formerly Association of Trial Lawyers of America).
Ian serves on the Joint Liaison Committee advising Judge Mark Davidson, statewide Asbestos MDL judge for Texas, on asbestos litigation in Texas. Ian also serves, through a client, on the W.R. Grace Asbestos Personal Injury Claimants Committee in the W.R. Grace bankruptcy.
